Overview

The exercise was designed to unify the visual presence of a short film across major streaming and social ecosystems. The identity leaned into a raw, premium, and culturally resonant aesthetic—reflecting the storytelling style of Jordan Brand and Russell Westbrook—while ensuring every digital layout was optimized for maximum click-through appeal.

Challenge

The challenge was to deliver a brand system that maintained a premium feel across wildly different digital footprints. It needed to support a system: a cohesive identity with high-impact title cards, platform-specific thumbnails, and responsive social media assets. That meant carefully adapting core assets for varying technical specs on platforms like Apple TV, YouTube, and BET+ while simultaneously building out a signature intro animation for the production house itself.

Solution

The project demonstrated how meticulous production design can anchor a film’s marketing ecosystem across streaming and social channels. Each step was engineered to maintain creative depth while strictly adhering to rigorous network specifications.

  • Strategic asset unification: Anchored the visual direction across all marketing materials, designing high-contrast title cards and key digital backgrounds tailored for major streaming interfaces.

  • Responsive streaming layouts: Engineered optimized thumbnail and background assets for Apple TV, YouTube, and BET+, balancing rich storytelling graphics with layout-specific crops and readability requirements.

  • Production company identity: Developed and animated the signature intro sequence for Incubation Lab using After Effects, creating a slick, rhythmic visual marquee to precede the film.

Results

The comprehensive asset package highlights how unified creative direction can elevate an entertainment launch across competitive digital landscapes. The final deliverables showcase a striking, premium identity—proof that a meticulous design workflow can seamlessly bridge the gap between studio vision and end-user platforms.

This project further demonstrates an ability to execute future-ready digital workflows and deliver high-stakes branding that merges cultural relevance with precise technical execution.
